Description
Leica Geovid HD-R 2700
The Leica Geovid HD-R 2700 Rangefinder models, like the Geovid HD-B family, combine ergonomic design and razor-sharp, high-contrast images, along with reliable rangefinding technology.
Easy, intuitive operation is guaranteed: equivalent horizontal range (EHR) output requires no pre-programming. In mountainous terrain, EHR gives you greater safety and flexibility. Leica’s own algorithm takes into account not only the linear distance and angle but also a realistic ballistic trajectory, making it much more accurate than the cosine function known as the Rifleman’s Rule. The result is a highly precise calculation of the EHR at a ballistic function range of 1,200 yds/1,100 m.
The ballistic measurement values are available in three output formats: holdover, click adjustment and equivalent horizontal range (EHR). Barometric pressure, temperature and angle are also included in the measurements and calculate the correct point of aim with the highest precision. With a microSD memory card and the Leica ballistic calculator users can import their individual ballistic parameters to their Leica Geovid HD-B 3000 and thus receive measuring data perfectly adjusted to load and calibre.
Next to the enhanced distance determination for long distances, both models feature a newly designed LED display, allowing excellent readability of the measured data under any light and weather conditions.
In its overall concept the new HD-R 56 stands for a revolution in range finding. These binoculars have been optimised for hunting from raised hides and possess over 78% more light reserves than conventional 42 mm binoculars, which allows viewing well into the twilight hours – because every minute counts!
What is unique about these range finding binoculars are their supreme optical performance thanks to the patented Perger Porro prism system, their optimised ergonomically designed bridge and the additional integration of an extremely powerful laser range finder, calculating both the actual distance and the distance relevant for shooting – even at enormous distances of up to 1,825m/2000yds. Although few other high-performance binoculars combine so many optoelectronic technologies, the Geovid 8×56 HD-R has an astonishingly compact construction.
